Paint & Coil coating

Custom Infrared and UV Systems for Diverse Industries Worldwide

Paint & Coil coating

On paint or coil coating lines, when time, power, space or simply energy savings cannot be reached with conventional ovens, the Infrared, Ultraviolet and E-beam solutions must be studied.
Obviously, the simplest way is the infrared technology as thermic paint designed for classical paint or coil coating ovens is easily adaptable to infrared tunnels. But it is not the only single one. UV technology and EB technology could be a real gain in certain cases.
It is why, at a customer request, CSI works to design the best IR equipment depending on the line (paint, substrate, type of line, etc.) and available energy (gas or electric), but also checks with its chemists if an alternative way can be proposed.
The CSI IR ovens can reach an electric power density of 700kW/m² or gas power density of 500kW/m². These values are the highest on the IR market and can be applied vertically or horizontally. The curing time of paints and coatings can be cut by 2 to 10.
Our strong knowledge in coil coating lines guarantees also the right calculation about the controlled supply and exhaust flows for safety (LEL). Pyrometric control loops (regulation) are also a reliable solution used at very high speed but also on more basic installations.
Infrared tunnels can be standalone equipment or an integrated equipment added at the entrance of conventional ovens.
The IR, UV installations range from simple IR cassettes to whole installations. The Chaudelec Systèmes Industriels Infrared, Ultraviolet and Electron beam installations are mostly made from a specific customer request and therefore designed specifically for our paint and coil coating customer's needs.
CSI's experience is the guarantee of successful installations and the particular care given to the equipment maintenance during its design guarantees long-lasting installations with minimum maintenance operations.
