UV Paint and varnish on plastics parts (UV LED and UV arc technologies)

UV paints and varnishes offer significant advantages over conventional paints and varnishes on plastics. The mechanical properties and chemical resistance of UV paints and varnishes are often optimized, but their application and crosslinking are also key aspects of their use. Paint crosslinking on plastic parts is much faster than conventional curing. This saves significant time and drastically reduces energy costs. Thus, instead of equipping an entire tunnel with IR emitters or heating an entire tunnel to reach only the painted plastic parts, it is possible to equip a robot arm with one or more ultraviolet lamps and quickly cover the working surfaces.

CSI will select with the final customer but also the paint supplier the best solution and will design the UV equipment.
