Several years ago, Chaudelec Systèmes Industriels (CSI) created a short-wave infrared cassette to heat NESTLE food pots from below.
This industrial IR cassette needs to be fully sealed to allow regular cleaning and prevent contamination from products that inevitably fall onto its surface. CSI engineered a waterproof infrared cassette with an integrated cooling circuit completely independent of its surroundings.
Clean air is supplied and extracted through sealed ducts, while power and overheat monitoring sensors are supplied to the CSI infrared cassette via versatile food-grade connectors. Thanks to its removable ducts and connectors, the infrared cassettes can be easily removed from the production line for more complex preventive or corrective maintenance operations without impacting the system's availability.
CSI’s waterproof short-wave infrared cassettes are in operation on six NESTLE production lines in Poland and the USA, as well as in two laboratory infrared systems in France and the USA.
