Electric Infrared Modules for Adhesive Curing

Chaudelec Systèmes Industriels (CSI) develops electrical infrared (IR) modules with dimensions adapted to any adhesive curing application. Whether curing single or multiple adhesive beads, the areas to be cured can significantly vary in size, from a few millimeters to several meters. It is why CSI uses standard and custom-made modules designed to meet each customer’s exact needs.
The type of electric infrared module will also vary depending on the surface that will transmit the IR energy to the glue (steel, aluminum, plastics, fibrous, etc.), its color and absorption characteristics. The objective is to heat the surface to its permitted temperature as quickly as possible ensuring rapid heat conduction into both the material and adhesive for the fastest and best adhesive curing. Depending on the type of adhesive ,the surface and the complexity of the parts, the curing process can range from a few seconds to several minutes.

To ensure process control and consistent repeatability, CSI incorporates one or several pyrometric control loops with various operating modes.
