The range of electric vehicles has expanded, and the category of license-free cars is undoubtedly the most promising, as it gives a new image to these vehicles, which were previously with a wrong image. Modern and lightweight, these cars are no longer reserved for those banned from driving. The market is therefore larger, and the versions are quite different, even if the production cost must remain very low.
Welded systems are being replaced by glued systems, and with the success achieved, adhesive curing times must be optimized. From several ten minutes, these times are reduced to as little as 4 to 6 minutes infrared heat time.
Chaudelec Industrial Systems – CSI is a pioneer in this type of treatment. With vehicle transformers like GRUAU, we have long since learned the art of positioning infrared modules and optimizing IR radiation times. Simply covering a vehicle conformer with IR heating panels is not enough to achieve the desired result. The infrared radiation lamps must be positioned correctly and monitored using efficient and controlled optical pyrometry. The skin temperature curve must be obtained in the shortest possible time to ensure optimal conduction within the materials. Infrared (IR) zones are created, and the proper functioning of each radiating element is continuously monitored. Depending on customer requirements, each IR cycle can be logged.
All of this is the result of collaborative studies conducted by three parties: the adhesive supplier, the end customer, and the IR designer. Without this exchange of information, the outcome is rarely of high quality.
